The mountain festival up to S. Martino di Castrozza

The beauties of San Martino di Castrozza to host the arrival of the event's Queen stage on Wednesday April 21

San Martino di Castrozza, North-Eastern Italy, is working hard to make sure the arrival of the Giro del Trentino’s second stage (April 21st) will be a fantastic event. There is a huge public interest over this international cycling race that will se the riders competing through the beauties of Trentino.
 
Almost one year after the arrival of the Giro d’Italia - with a large number of spectators, San Martino di Castrozza is ready to host what will be the race’s Queen stage.

The 172.5km day-2 of Giro del Trentino starts from Dro (123m), North Lake Garda, and the riders will face the first notable climb of the day after only 50.8km, Vigolo Vattaro. Then they will head toward Passo Forcella and the first categorized mountain Passo del Brocon (1616m). In the finale, the race course features Passo di Gobbera as the penultimate ascent before the mountain top-finish up to the 1466 metre of San Martino di Castrozza. The 13.7km long final ascent will already discover who could be in the dash for the overall victory.
 
GS Alto Garda-Arco race organizers confirm the presence of world-class teams and some more news will be announced in the next few days.
 
The Giro del Trentino 2010 will be launched in Trento on Monday April 12: a press conference will announce the names of the twenty teams that will contest the race from April 20 to 23.
