New jerseys unveiled: Mediocredito among the main sponsors
The amaranth jersey will host the brand of Mediocredito Trentino-Alto Adige Spa, a corporate and investment bank
GS Alto Garda, Giro del Trentino’s organizing committee, is working hard for the 36th edition of the event, on schedule from April 17th to 20th, 2012. After the first revelations about the routes of two stages – the second, that will pass through the Valle dei Mocheni’s magic, and the third, featuring the dreadful climb of Punta Veleno (poisonous sting) – now new colors and sponsors of Giro’s jerseys have been defined as well.
On the Overall leader’s fuchsia jersey, worn by Michele Scarponi in Madonna di Campiglio after the last stage of 2011 edition, there will be again the Trentino brand, thanks to the close collaboration with Trentino Marketing Spa, a touristic area marketing agency with a relevant role in sports events organization.
The green jersey will once again mark the king of the mountains, and will be patronized by Casse Rurali Trentine, a deeply-rooted bank group with its 45 agencies and 383 offices in Trentino's area.
White is the color of youngsters, at least in cycling, and “Trentino” doesn’t make an exception. White will be the jersey of the young riders classification leader’s jersey, sponsored by Casearia Monti Trentini, dairy factory from Grigno Valsugana (Northern Italy), specialized in PDO cheese production.
The main news for 2012 sits in the intermediate sprint's jersey: a new amaranth jersey will host the brand of Mediocredito Trentino-Alto Adige Spa, a corporate and investment bank also extending its branches in Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Veneto regions.
