Giro del Trentino - Ciclismo

The 34th edition of Giro del Trentino from April 20 to 23 will definitely feature a technical and highly spectacular sport event thanks to GS Alto Garda-Arco organizers’ effort and commitment.

One of the main features of the 2010 Italian 4-day stage-race is the arrival of stage 3 in Trento on April Thursday 22. It is twenty year since Trento has hosted a stage of the Giro del Trentino and that’s why the organizers are very happy with this fantastic agreement.

The stage will start from Fiera di Primiero and will end in Trento after a 164km smooth course with the only ascent to Passo Rolle in the very beginning of the race. It will suit sprinters whilst overall contenders will exploit the opportunity to save important energies looking forward to the fourth and last demanding stage from Arco to Alpe di Pampeago-Val di Fiemme (174km).

Race organizers also confirm the opening 13,2km individual time-trial on Tuesday 20 from Riva del Garda to Torbole sul Garda, while stage 2 will start from Dro and will end up to San Martino di Castrozza.

The official press conference of the 34th Giro del Trentino (a total amount of 523,7km completely in the Trentino Region) will be held on Monday April 12 in Trento.

In the meantime world-class international teams with the likes of Astana (Vinokourov), BMC, Liquigas (Basso and Pellizotti), Katusha and Lampre are confirming their presence in what is expected as one of the most exciting cycling event of the year.

34th Giro del Trentino - The stages:
- April 20th: RIVA DEL GARDA - TORBOLE SUL GARDA (12,5km individual time-trial)
- April 21th: DRO - SAN MARTINO DI CASTROZZA (172,5km)
- April 22th: FIERA DI PRIMIERO - TRENTO (164km)
- April 24th: ARCO- ALPE DI PAMPEAGO VAL DI FIEMME (174km)
