“Ciclismo vita mia” prize dedicated to historical patron Guido Amistadi 2012
Organizer GS Alto Garda assigned the 2012 prize to the memory of Amistady himself, recently passed away
From 4/17/12
The “Ciclismo vita mia” prize, yearly assigned by Giro del Trentino’s organizer GS Alto Garda to persons who committed their lives to cycling as a sport, has been awarded this year to the memory of Guido Amistadi, former President of Giro del Trentino’s organizing committee, recently passed away at 79.
It was his nephew, Natalino Amistadi, to receive the prize at the eve of the start of edition nr. 36 (April 17-20, 2012). Guido was Giro del Trentino’s promoter and patron for almost thirty years and left to his worthy successors, first and foremost Lina and Nerino Ioppi, a beloved and prestigious race. Amistadi follows Auro Bulbarelli, Raisport’s vice-director, in the winners’ list.
From 2012, the “Ciclismo vita mia” award is officially dedicated to the memory of Guido Amistadi, whose name was greeted during the ceremony with a big ovation. In the past, the prize had been entitled to Gino Palumbo, director of La Gazzetta dello Sport, and Adriano Morelli, journalist from Trentino.
