Trentino’s award in memory of race past-President Amistadi 2011
Italian stage-race organizing committee decided the assignement of the prize during last executive board meeting

During the GS Alto Garda executive board meeting , chaired by Senator Giacomo Santini, Giro del Trentino's organizing committee decided to assign the "Ciclismo Vita Mia" award (yearly assigned to relevant persons dedicating their life to cycling sport, to be released during the gala night at the race eve) in memory of Guido Amistadi, Italian stage-race first president and promoter, who recently passed away.
"We are paying a sincere and deserved homage to a significant personality who dedicated himself to cycling with unbelievable passion. Because of him and his perseverance this project grew up today’s state of affairs. Nowadays Giro del Trentino has taken a front-line place in the international cycling's panorama, even more after the last year’s UCI upgrade to 2.HC category”, Santini explained.
2012 "Ciclismo Vita MIa" award will be presented on Monday, April 16th at Arco's Casinò, at Giro del Trentino's gala dinner. 36th edition of Giro del Trentino is scheduled on April 17th-20th, 2012 with expected high-class starting list on worldwide scale.
Meanwhile, the organizers renewed the sponsorship agreement with Selle Italia, in charge of technical services with three cars and six further vehicles at race's direction disposal , to guarantee the event conducted according to the highest technical standard. The deal has been signed by Italian-based company's owner Riccardo Bigolin with Lina and Nerino Ioppi, GS Alto Garda's vice-president and secretary respectively.
